From mid-July to early August, since that’s when I was working on the mural.
Although Cookie died a while back, it took me until September to stop using her name as the shorthand for a playdate with her pack.

Trying to figure out my autumn schedule, with a dentist appointment, and classes with Sarah (intermediate DJ class) and Dave (acrylic painting).
One of the rare lists from work that has no client names or other protected information.
My favourite kind of note: a reminder to do something lovely like have tea with a friend.
Two of my contracts. Reminder to work on them. Also, some start and end times for practicing for a gig.
Sometimes the lists are group by similar tasks, but this was pretty random: Post on Freeshare (formerly Freecycle but old habits die hard), pick up some bones for the dogs, buy a new dress for my next performance, and check out the Merchant Kitchen restaurant.
When I stumble out of bed on a Saturday morning and see this reminder on the bathroom mirror… Bliss!
Trying to figure out how to use my little Numark Mixtrack Pro II for a gig because the turntables and mixers I usually borrow were all going to be in use that night. Also, Serato fucks up bigtime if the screensaver comes on so I had to remember to make some adjustments to my laptop.
Almost task for task the same as this one. Sometimes I think of the tasks at work, sometimes at home… And I write them down every time! Hence the duplicates… Nothing to do with procrastination, at all. Really.
Last winter (Feb / March 2015), I took the introductory DJ class at Mama Cutsworth’s DJ Academy for All Women. One of our homework assignments was to discover some women DJs we hadn’t previously known. I tried to find non-North American ones, and also ones who were not DJ / actress/ models with bikini PR shots.
Jen lent me this book and I kept forgetting to return it to her. Finally as I was on my out the door to head to her place, I remembered the book—but I hadn’t yet recorded it in my database of books read (a fun project I started shortly after I moved back to Canada but which has now spiraled out of control as many f my projects seem to do…). Scribbled the info down and returned the book.
These are wonderful dog poems.
List from around the beginning of August. Between the 7th and 14th, I think, and this is clearly a rewritten list amalgamating other more spontaneous notes. Such unrelated items in such (relatively) neat handwriting is the tip-off.
This one made me laugh. I was working on two things at once: sorting through pictures for my blogs, and removing duplicates from iTunes. The band names are places where I stopped and wanted to remember where to restart. This was not the most efficient multitasking I’ve ever done, and a lot of the work had to be double-checked (….read: redone…). I wasn’t drinking at the time, but I think I’d slept badly. Same diff.
